The whole Empordà smells of tempting hobs, where fragrant and innocent proposals for happiness are cooked. The Empordà is a horizon of softly rounded hills and villages close to each other. The biggest secret is the use of local products of good quality: rice from Pals which quality makes it the success of many dishes; Palamós’ shrimps and Costa Brava fish, such as “peix blau ganxó” from Sant Feliu de Guíxols that can be savoured on their own or in mixed dishes; vegetables used raw or cooked in salads; different cooked dishes, stews…
