The church is situated outside the castle walls. It dates from the 12th century and the front part is typical of the Empordà’s late Romanic. Its bell wall is well conserved and has four towers with four opening of different sizes, two of which have two bells and it also has a rose window in its façade.

Inside the church, there’s the Baron Gilabert of Cruïlles sepulchre. He was the founder of Cruïlles Barony in Peratallada.
